In this report on the status of homeopathy research, the research areas of health care research, randomized controlled clinical trials, meta-analyses and basic research are summarized. This is intended to contribute to the discussion within homeopathy, about the need for research, about the importance of individual research fields and methods and their role for future research strategy.
But we also make this current state of scientific research available for discussion within medicine as a whole and for the public. While the conventional development of medicines is based on research, which then has to face medical practice, homeopathy is first and foremost a successful medical practice that has to face scientific research.
